Booking & Payment
How do I book a Ranthambore safari online?
Choose your date and vehicle on our safari booking page, add passenger details, and complete the payment. Our team then confirms your permit with the Forest Department and sends the zone and gate details to you by email and WhatsApp.
Is my booking confirmed immediately after payment?
We confirm payments quickly, usually within a few hours. Once the Forest Department approves the permit, you receive your safari zone, gate, and reporting details. During the peak season confirmation can take a little longer, and you get an email if that happens.
How do I pay, and is the payment secure?
We accept UPI and bank transfer through a secure checkout. You are provided a UPI ID and payee name on the booking summary page. Always review the amount before confirming the payment.
How far in advance should I book?
Safaris open up to 90 days in advance, and seats sell fast in October–February and around long weekends. Booking 2–4 weeks ahead is recommended; for summer months a shorter window usually works.
Safari Types & Prices
What is the difference between a Jeep and a Canter safari?
Jeep (Gypsy): a six-seater open vehicle that reaches the narrow interior trails — ideal for families and photographers.
Canter: an open 20-seater bus running on the main routes — a good low-cost option for larger groups.
What do the current safari prices include?
The fare covers the safari permit, the vehicle, a licensed guide, the driver, and taxes. Pick-up and drop-off from your hotel are separate and can be arranged on request.
Do children need a separate ticket?
Children below 5 years travel free and do not need a separate seat. All travellers from age 5 upwards are counted as passengers, so select the correct number of persons in the booking form.
Zones & Timings
How many safari shifts are there each day?
Two shifts run daily — a morning safari and an afternoon safari. Start times follow the season: mornings begin between 6:00 and 7:00 AM and afternoons between 2:00 and 3:30 PM.
How many safari zones does Ranthambore have?
The reserve is divided into ten zones. Zones 1 to 5 are closed on Wednesdays and zones 6 to 10 are closed on Tuesdays. During the monsoon, only zones 6 to 10 are open.
Which zone is best for tiger sightings?
No zone can be guaranteed — tiger movement follows natural patterns. Zones 2 to 6 have a strong track record, but the final result depends on the season, the time of day, and a little luck.
Are safaris available during the monsoon?
The park is closed for the core monsoon months (July to September). Safaris run from October 1 to June 30, with only zones 6 to 10 open in October until the main season fully reopens.
Travellers & Documents
Which documents do I need for the safari?
A valid government photo ID for every traveller — Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, Driving Licence, or School ID for children. Carry the original document on safari day; a copy is shared during booking.
I am a foreign tourist. What do I need?
Foreign nationals must share their passport details at the time of booking. The passport number is required for the permit, and the original passport must be carried on safari day.
What is the best time to visit Ranthambore?
The main season runs from October to June. Summer months (March–June) often deliver more tiger activity near water sources, while October–February brings cooler weather and greener scenery.
On Safari Day
What time should I reach the safari gate?
Reach the entry point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled shift. Late arrivals can risk missing the safari as vehicles leave on time.
Is hotel pick-up and drop-off included?
Pick-up is not part of the standard safari fare, but we regularly arrange vehicle transfers from Sawai Madhopur hotels and resorts at a small additional cost. Ask while booking.
What happens if my safari is not confirmed?
If a permit cannot be issued — for example due to a technical error or seat unavailability — the full amount is refunded to your bank account and you are informed immediately.
